Safe moving is a real challenge and should always be left to the professionals.

This safe was manufactured in Ohio sometime between 1950 and 1975. While doing our pre-move research on the safe, we found the manufacturer had moved across seas to Germany. The company couldn't give an accurate weight because this safe was no longer being manufactured. We estimated the weight based on similar safes to be between 1,800lbs to 2,200lbs.

After carefully moving the safe 200 yards and loading the safe on a 2,500lbs lift gate, we found the lift gate wouldn't pick it up. At that point we carefully removed both Safe doors (300lbs each). We also removed the smaller safe inside (350lbs). We reloaded the safe and the lift gate worked well. Our unload and re-assembly went very smooth. We now estimate the safe weight to be somewhere between 2,500lbs to 3,500lbs.
